Outloop: Arrow Escape Puzzle · Last updated October 12, 2026
The short version. Outloop needs no account and never asks for your name, email or contacts. Your puzzles and progress stay on your device and in your own iCloud. The game is free because it shows ads, and it uses a few well-known services for ads, analytics, crash reports and purchases. They are all listed below, with what they receive and how to say no.
Who we are
Outloop: Arrow Escape Puzzle (“Outloop”, “the game”) is published by Bhupatbhai Virani (“we”, “us”), who is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@playoutloop.com.
This policy covers the Outloop app for iPhone and iPad and this website.
What the game stores, and where
- Your progress. Solved levels, stars, Knot prints, hints, streaks and settings are saved on your device. If iCloud is switched on for your Apple Account, a copy is kept in your private iCloud storage so it can follow you to your other devices. We cannot see or read it.
- Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple so they can appear on leaderboards. Apple handles this under its own privacy policy.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, the game can remind you of the Daily Puzzle. A push token is created for your device for that purpose. You can switch notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
What is collected automatically
Like most free games, Outloop includes software from other companies. When you play, these services may receive:
- device and app details: model, operating system version, language, region, app version, screen size;
- identifiers: an app-instance identifier, and the device's advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking when iOS asks;
- your IP address, from which a rough location such as country or city can be derived;
- how the game is used: screens opened, levels started and finished, session length;
- ads shown and whether they were tapped;
- crash reports and performance diagnostics;
- purchase records: which item was bought and when. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card or bank details.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or the contents of your device.
The services inside the game
| Service | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Shows ads and measures them | Identifiers, IP address, device details, ad interactions |
| Unity Ads | Supplies ads through AdMob mediation | Identifiers, IP address, device details, ad interactions |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Shows us how the game is played, in aggregate | App-instance identifier, usage events, device details |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Reports crashes so we can fix them | Crash logs, device state at the time of the crash |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Delivers notifications you agreed to | Push token, app-instance identifier |
| RevenueCat | Confirms purchases and restores them | Anonymous app user identifier, purchase history |
| Apple (App Store, iCloud, Game Center) | Payments, sync, leaderboards and achievements | As described in Apple's privacy policy |
Each of these companies processes data under its own privacy policy, linked above.
Ads and your choices
- Tracking permission. iOS asks whether Outloop may track you. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not based on your activity in other apps. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Consent in Europe. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before ads are requested. You can review or withdraw that consent at any time in the game under Settings → Legal → Privacy choices.
- Remove Ads. This optional purchase takes away the ads between levels and when you open the game. Videos you choose to watch for a reward stay available.
Why we use this data
- to run the game and keep your progress in step across your devices;
- to show ads, which pay for a game that is free to play;
- to deliver purchases and restore them;
- to understand how the game is played, find problems and fix crashes;
- to answer you when you write to us;
- to meet legal obligations.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (personalised ads, tracking), on the performance of our agreement with you (running the game, purchases), and on our legitimate interests (analytics, crash reports, fraud prevention), balanced against your rights.
How long data is kept
Information you send us, such as a support email, is kept for as long as you use the game and for 12 months afterwards. Automatically collected data is kept for up to 24 months from collection, after which it is deleted or kept only in aggregated form that no longer identifies anyone. Progress stored in your iCloud stays there until you delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, write to support@playoutloop.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising partners may use identifiers for cross-context behavioural advertising, which California law treats as “sharing”; you can opt out by declining tracking in iOS, as described above. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Deleting your data
- In the game, Settings → Reset progress erases your progress on the device.
- Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. To remove the iCloud copy, use iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
- For data held by the services listed above, write to us and we will pass your request on where we can.
Children
Outloop is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Transfers to other countries
The services listed above may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, it is protected by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Security
We use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information we handle, and we will notify you and the authorities of a data breach where the law requires it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
This website
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. It keeps two preferences in your browser's local storage, the theme you picked and whether sound is on, which never leave your device. The demo boards on the home page run entirely in your browser. The company that hosts the site may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and time of request, for security.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The newest version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it known in the game or here.
